A summer event for all the family will offer visitors of any age or ability the chance to try more than 30 different sports in one day.
Each sport, from archery to rollersports, judo to orienteering, athletics to scuba diving, will have a dedicated purpose-built area where adults and children can have a go in a safe and professional environment.
For those feeling confident there will also be the opportunity to enter organised tournaments and competitions.
The benefits of regular participation in a sport include improved fitness, health and wellbeing, increased confidence and self-esteem but above all enjoyment.
Sport 2006 provides the perfect opportunity to try a variety of sports and discover which is the right one for you or your children.
To entertain and inspire there will be demonstrations in the main arena from some of the best sports people in their field. There are also four competitive events to enter which include a 5km run, 10km walk, 32.5km duathlon and 20km cycle time trial.
Sport 2006 takes place on August 19 and 20 at Groombridge Place, Kent. The ticket price is £15 per head and this includes unlimited activities, car parking, certificate verifying participation, the chance to meet some sporting heroes, entrance to Groombridge Place Gardens and Enchanted Forest and entertainment.
