Laura Russen, of Crofton Junior School, Petts Wood, was nominated by Anna Maleham.
The mother-of-two says her son, Harry, eight, has developed a love of reading since being taught by her.
Miss Russen, 25, who is in her second year of teaching at the school, said: "I'm really surprised but really pleased. It's fantastic"
