BUILDING closer ties with the regular Army has prompted restructuring in the UK's reserve force.
Some parts of the Territorial Army are expanding, while others are taking on different roles and new skills.
As part of the changes Bexleyheath is to lose its 265 (Kent and County of London Yeomanry) Signal Squadron, currently based at the TA centre in Watling Street.
Its members have been offered the chance to transfer to other units where their role will be expanded or they will be switched to new specialisations, to tie in with the Army.
The rest of the 71 Signal Squadron will remain in Bexleyheath.
