TODDLERS received their very own treasure chest with books as part of a national drive to encourage reading.
Gravesend Library, Windmill Street, Gravesend, gave children from Bronte Nursery the keepsake box as part of the Bookstart national scheme to promote reading.
The chest contains two picture books, a fiction and non-fiction book list and ideas for parents focusing on early langauge and listening skills.
Kent libraries co-ordinates the scheme across the county.
A range of packs, originally only given to babies, are now available for toddlers aged between 18 months and four years old.
