A POLICE investigation is under way after the ground floor of a pub was gutted by a fire.
Around 20 firefighters were needed to help put out the blaze at The Forresters pub, Upper Wickham Lane, Plumstead.
The fire, which took hold in the early hours of April 25, gutted the whole of the ground floor and part of the first floor of the pub.
Firefighters from Plumstead and Erith took around 45 minutes to put the flames out. No-one was injured.
The cause of the fire is being investigated by Greenwich police and fire safety officers.
