MIDWIVES from Queen Mary's Hospital, Sidcup, will be out and about showing off the skills they bring to mums and babies in the area.
They will join representatives from Bexley's Real Nappy Service, an advisor on giving up smoking and a Sure Start midwife, to celebrate International Day of the Midwife.
They will have a stall in Bexleyheath Broadway tomorrow and outside Morrisons, off Erith High Street, on Friday, between 9.30am and 3.30pm to give out advice, information and encouragement.
The Associate director for the women and children care group, midwife Leith Samuels- Walrond, has worked at Queen Mary's for more than 30 years.
She says the hospital was currently planning a low-risk birth unit and hoped to be able to provide some maternity care at Erith Health Centre in the High Street in the near future.
