IF YOU feel a spring in your step now the warmer weather is here, why not take a walk and raise cash for a charity.

Greenwich and Bexley Cottage Hospice holds its annual sponsored walk on Bank Holiday Monday, with routes ranging in length from three miles to 15 miles.

The walks are suitable for all ages and abilities and people have a choice of two starting points Bostall Hill playing field, Abbey Wood, or Charlton Park, Charlton Park Lane, Charlton.

All walks begin at 10am and end at the starting point.

This year small children and people with limited walking ability will be able to go for a meander on Bostall Heath, starting at noon.

Last year, the event attracted more than 900 walkers and raised more than £50,000.

This year, the hospice is hoping to attract more than 1,000 participants.

You can register online at cottagehospice.org.uk or on the day. People with no sponsors will be asked to make a minimum donation of £10.
