FITNESS fanatics got themselves in a spin at a 24-hour cycling fundraiser to help Alzheimer's sufferers.
The sponsored spinning session at Next Generation Club, Darenth Road, Dartford, raised more than £2,500 after the 80 riders battled throughout the day and night.
Three of the riders, including event organiser and gym health and fitness manager Julie Bartlett, completed the entire 24-hour session.
The mother-of-two arranged the fundraiser to help people such as her grandmother, who suffered from the disease before she died in 1996.
Mrs Bartlett said: "The first 10 hours flew by but the night-time was really hard work.
"The best part was the adrenalin rush and the commitment of all the people who took part."
The cash has now been given to the Alzheimer's Society and will be used to help those with the disease in north Kent.
