TENANTS heard how "dynamic improvements" are set to transform their homes.
Around 150 tenants and leaseholders attended the annual Tenants' Conference at Lewisham Town Hall on Saturday.
Visitors heard more about the Decent Homes scheme, which will see all council houses brought up to a national quality standard by 2010.
There was also the chance to seek advice from experts on issues such as benefits, council tax and recycling.
Cabinet member for housing Councillor Susan Wise said: "Over the next few years the borough's homes and housing services will be transformed.
"These events show the dynamic improvements which can occur when the council and residents work together."
