TONGUES stopped wagging at one primary school as the Big Hush spread through every classroom.
Children at Foster's Primary School, Westbrooke Road, Welling, were taking part in a sponsored silence to raise cash for Macmillan Cancer Relief.
The Big Hush is an annual event for the charity and Foster's was one of more than 100 schools across Greater London which took part.
This year the charity is funding a dietician and a dietetic assistant at Queen Mary's Hospital, Sidcup, to help cancer sufferers improve their nutrition both before and after treatment.
After the Big Hush came the big count-up and the school hopes to have raised more than £2,000 for the charity.
