A RESTAURANT'S application for extended opening hours has been met with opposition from police and residents.
Greenwich Council's licensing sub-committee has received nine objections for the Marble Restaurant's application to serve alcohol until midnight from Sunday to Thursday and 2am on Friday and Saturdays.
The restaurant in Anglesea Road, Woolwich, has also applied to be able to play host to indoor live music during the same hours.
However, the Met police, the council's environment protection officers and residents have expressed concerns about crime and disorder and noise coming from the restaurant.
The council's licensing sub-committee will make a decision on the application tomorrow.
