A PRIMARY school pupil is learning extra skills thanks to an extended schools programme.
Alfie Milner, nine, from Charlton Manor Primary, has benefitted from teaming up with Year 11 pupils from Thomas Tallis Secondary School, Kidbrooke Park Road, Greenwich.
The primary school in Hornfair Road, Charlton, is working with Thomas Tallis to allow its pupils to access resources and expertise they would not receive at their school.
The seven other primary schools involved in the cluster are Charlton Manor School, Hornfair Road, Charlton; Cardwell School, Frances Street, Woolwich; Cherry Orchard, Rectory Field Crescent, Greenwich; Fossdene, Victoria Way, Charlton; Pound Park Nursery, Pound Park Road, Charlton; Our Lady of Grace, Charlton Road, Greenwich, and Thorntree, Thorntree Road, Charlton.
Charlton Manor headteacher Tim Baker said: "This initiative is one of many we are working on to enrich children's learning and experience.
"It allows them to contribute in a positive way to the community."
