MYSTERY surrounds the death of a man whose body was found in the River Thames.
Levier van der Hoven, from Lewisham, was found dead on the shoreline of the river near Caledonian Wharf, Tower Hamlets, on February 19.
Police believe the 20-year-old South African, of no fixed abode, entered the river near Greenwich, at around midnight the previous day.
A post-mortem examination revealed Mr van der Hoven died by drowning.
Police are urging anyone who may have seen Mr van der Hoven in the final hours before he died to call them on 020 7275 4681.
