POOR REPORT: Bexley Business Academy, Yarnton Way, Thamesmead, has been condemned by Ofsted as having inadequate sixth-form provision and unsatisfactory teaching at secondary school level. Only 29 per cent of pupils achieved five or more GCSEs.
ECO EXCELLENCE: Bexley's recycling rate has been hailed a success by the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs. The borough's recycling rate is close to 30 per cent a 10 per cent increase compared to figures for 2004.
POLICE MEET: Bexley Police Community Consultative Group will meet at the Civic Offices, Bexleyheath Broadway, on January 30 at 7.30pm.
