CARE WORKER CHARGED: A former care worker, Raxa Patel, of Ranelagh Gardens, Gravesend, is due to appear at Maidstone Crown Court on March 3 charged with eight counts of mistreating patients suffering from learning difficulties, at Greenacres, Bow Arrow Lane, Dartford, between January 2002 and December 2004.
BAR OPENING ON PIER: The opening date of a bar being built in the Grade II Listed Town Pier, Gravesend, will be announced this week. The bar, called Q, was due to be opened in November last year. However, work is still ongoing to finish the new pub, which is situated at the end of the pier.
