PARENTS are being urged to make sure they secure a primary school place for their children.
The deadline for parents of children starting school in September is just a week away.
A new admissions system has been introduced this year, which is designed to make the process fairer and easier.
Parents now have to complete a single form, listing their four preferred school options, rather than filling in one form for each school.
Lewisham parents can pick up an application form from any primary school in the borough and can get further information by visiting lewisham.gov.uk
The deadline for applications is February 1.
