BEXLEYHEATH & CRAYFORD WATERSIDE WOMEN'S INSTITUTE

The subject of our speaker this month was A Thomas Cook's European tour' given by Martyn Harris. It was, to our surprise, a musical tour with him singing appropriate songs for each European town he visited, inviting us to join him in singing the chorus of some. He had an excellent powerful voice and out singing was at least enthusiastic!

Various notices were given out such as a forthcoming concert by Bexley WI Drama Group, the dates for our next two ten-pin bowling sessions, our December Christmas festivities meeting, the AGM at Tunbridge Wells our quiz night and January (Christmas) meal out.

At our AGM next month, members were reminded that they would be required to nominate officers for the following year. Any who had already served three years would be stepping down to be re-elected or new ones nominated. New ones are always welcome as it is a good thing to have a change around thus getting fresh ideas.

As usual, members who had birthdays this month were wished Happy Birthday'.

We meet on the fourth Monday of each month at the District Scouts Headquarters in Mayplace Road West, Bexleyheath which is easily accessible by public transport and also has a car park.

Meetings start promptly at 7.45pm contact 01322 408749 for further information.
