A CHARITY’S dance troupe was treated to a visit from an ex Eastender to celebrate their achievements.
Each year, Magpie Dance helps more than 150 dancers with learning disabilities from across south-east London and north Kent.
The charity, based at the Churchill Theatre in Bromley, held an end-of-term ceremony for its Youth Group and former Eastenders star and charity patron Kellie Shirley was on hand to present dancers with their certificates.
Charity founder and artistic director Avril Hitman said: “The evening was a good opportunity to showcase the talents of our Magpie youth and adult dancers with live music specially written for the performance.”
Last year, News Shopper ran its Help Magpie Fly campaign to help the charity raise vital funds for its dance classes.
