MY organisation provides a valuable service to schools, colleges of adult education and charities by bringing teachers and business or professional people from Japan to work in the United Kingdom as volunteers for three to 12 months in a range of settings.
Whilst working here, these volunteers usually lodge with families or retired people (some specify that they would prefer to live with an older person).
They provide ample remuneration to cover the cost of food, heating, and so on, in line with local rents, but we do not deal with professional landlords/ladies as we only require accommodation en famille.
If any of your readers could offer a 'home from home' for a few months to a young professional we would be most grateful to hear from them. There would be no obligation to host anyone straight away -- we just need to know where accommodation may be available in the future.
