On September 30, a reunion is being held at Wimbledon Squash and Badminton Club, Cranbrook Road, for all the members of the Badminton Bluebottle Bandits, a social group that used to meet there every Friday evening in the late sixties and early seventies.
All of us enjoyed good conversation and good beer, and we had many good times. Many's the time the group war-cry would echo across the courts: "There's Bandits about!"
We're still trying to find a few lost members, and we'd be grateful for information on Bob 'Nobby' Clark, Alfred 'The Brig' Robertson, Ray 'Monkeyman' Cox, 'Limey' McQueen, 'Fatboy' Williams (and his mother), Timothy Buckley (who I believe moved to California in 1974) and "Ringo" Fleming - "The Bushiest Beard in Badminton!"
If you know of any of these please contact me. Myself, Spike, Jacko, Francis, Tom, Molina and Neal would love to see some old faces.
