Two pistol-wielding robbers stole £12,000 from the Nationwide Building Society in Muswell Hill Broadway after holding up security guards.

They threatened one guard and forced him inside the building.

There they threatened a second guard and stole cash before fleeing to Queens Avenue.

They drove off in a blue BMW which was later found in Pages Hill.

The robbery took place at 12.10am on Wednesday, August 12.

One of the robbers was white, aged about 28, 5ft 10ins tall, with black hair and stubble. He wore a green army style jacket.

His accomplice was black, aged about 25, 6ft 3ins tall with a broad build. He wore a black T-shirt and jumper.

A mugger tore clumps of hair from a 34-year-old woman as she tried to steal her handbag in Crouch End.

The incident happened in Crouch Hill last Thursday at 8.30pm.
