Dorking 3 Hampton Reserves 2

Hampton's Reserves can count themselves unfortunate to have lost this game against their Ryman Div 3 opponents.

But while the Beavers had the flair, Dorking were stronger, and more direct. And Dorking started best, opening the scoring on just three minutes.

Stung into action, Hampton's Prince Adu-Appiah had two shots fly over the bar in quick succession.

But they were kicked in the teeth again when Dorking netted four minutes into injury time.

Luck was against them again in the second period as a Joe Allen lob beat the keeper but came back off the bar. And Allen had another effort cleared off the line shortly afterwards.

Dorking made it three with 10 minutes to go and Adu-Appiah had another goal-bound strike cleared off the line.

On 86 minutes he was rewarded, rounding the keeper and slotting home. And second later Allen joined him on the score sheet when a fine ball by Keeley put him in.

David Omigie was thwarted by a brave save as the Beavers just failed to force the draw.

Hampton: Ricky Webb, Liam Fordham ( Omigie 64), Phil Joseph, Tony Jones, Luke Cheesman, Mark Dalziel (Mark Cino 56), Barry Keeley, Ernest Arhin, Joel Allen, Prince Adu-Appiah, Alfie Smith (Ben Lampard 48).
