The Fatal Attraction-style stabbing of a Sheen man has left police baffled.

The 33-year-old from Upper Richmond Road spent the night with a 26-year-old woman calling herself Louise. He was woken at 6am the next day to find her attacking him with a kitchen knife. The man managed to overpower his attacker and disarm her.

The 26-year-old still managed to inflict knife wounds to his buttocks, chest and shoulder, however, leaving him needing treatment at Kingston Hospital.

The attack, reminiscent of scenes in the Hollywood blockbuster 'Fatal Attraction' where Glenn Close attempts to stab her lover to death, has left police clueless. They have launched an appeal for anyone with information to come forward.

Det Con Craig Turner, who is leading the investigation, said: "We have very little to go on except to appeal for witnesses who may have seen her. This is a very strange case."

The man met his assailant in a West End night club last Monday night. 'Louise' has short light brown hair and was wearing a floral dress.

"After the attack she grabbed her clothes and ran out of the house," said Det Con Turner.
