BUSINESSMEN are missing opportunities to advertise to millions of people because of a lack of knowledge, according to a marketing consultant.
Independent consultant for City 2000 John Mole said: "Bromley businesses have not grasped the commercial benefits available on the Internet."
Mr Mole said: "The Internet is the fastest growing communications medium in the history of the world, and there are now nearly 10 million users in the UK."
The Chislehurst-based consultant said business directories on the Internet such as City 2000's can have as many as three million hits a month.
Advertisements can also be put into search engines which improves their chances of being seen.
Mr Mole added: "With that volume of traffic business advertising can be guaranteed massive exposure - all at less than the cup of coffee a day."
