Bracknell Town 0, Hampton 2

Boss Chick Botley will take heart with this performance from his strongest pre-season line up yet, as they won 2-0 at a canter.

With a strong back line including Steve Croxford, Dave Stephenson and Otis Hutchins, Hampton looked threatening up front with Jamie Beer giving them plenty of options down the right hand side.

Ian Savage rifled in a 25-yarder after 19 minutes to open the scoring but the goal was made by Johnson Hippolyte, who received a good ball from Warren Drew, turned and laid it back neatly into Savage's path.

The Beavers went 2-0 ahead after Otis Hutchins was on hand to pick up a loose ball that spun away from Robin Lewis after he was tackled. Hutchins took the ball on into the penalty area and struck it home past the Bracknell keeper.

Hampton used all five substitutes at the start of the second half and as a result some of the momentum gained in the first half was lost. Bracknell were able to force themselves back into the game but were still unable to seriously trouble Mark Russell. Andy Gray was unlucky late in the game when his shot was smothered by Bracknell's substitute keeper.

Hampton: Mark Russell; Warren Drew, Peter Wood, Steve Croxford, Dave Stephenson, Otis Hutchins, Jamie Beer, Ian Savage, Johnson Hippolyte, Robin Lewis, Jason Brown. Subs: (all used): Gary Cooper, Steve Cheshire, Andy Gray, Jason James and Francis Vines.
