I felt I just had to write and tell you about a fantastic restaurant in Orpington High Street.
I've lived in this area for over 10 years now and quite frankly the choice of food places seems to be limited to quick fast food or noodle bars.
I have frequented most of the places in the town over the years and there are one or two very good Chinese / Indian restaurants, but at last I have come across a pure gem.
The restaurant in question is called Attica and is located at 182a High Street, Orpington, almost opposite Iceland.
My partner and I kept saying we would try it and last Friday we finally did, and wow what a meal.
The ambience was very exclusive, a handful of tables, the staff were friendly and not at all rushing you through the meal, and above all the food was amazing. So much so my partner was almost wrestling me for my confit of duck in black cherry sauce.
I can not say enough how good the food was and the price was very reasonable. We are definitely booking again soon and felt that places like this are very hard to find especially ones right on your doorstep.
We recently had the good fortune to dine at the OXO Tower restaurant in London but Attica was so much better. So instead of spending the same amount for a meal up-town why not try Attica?
