Seven-year-old Millie Dutton has nominated her neighbour Dick Walker, 70, of Almond Way.
The retired signalman helps out by cutting her family's lawn and she enjoys helping him with cooking and laying the table.
Millie said: "He is always there for me.
"He lets me help him do some cooking and gardening.
"I just love him."
Mr Walker said he was "chuffed" and "really pleased" to be nominated.
