A 15-YEAR-OLD girl from the borough has been crowned as the queen of queens.
Miss Bromley, Julie-ann Morriss, from Penge, beat 21 pageant queens from Kent towns at the Faversham Carnival to win her crown.
The Hayes School student, who joined in an illuminated evening parade, said: "I feel fantastic. I am so proud and I know my mum will be very proud of me too."
Queens from Faversham, Enfield and Canterbury will be among those participating in Bromley's illuminated carnival parade, which begins in the Market Square on November 5.
There will also be a small parade with floats on November 6, before the Christmas lights are switched on.
Any group or business which would like to take part in the Saturday procession should call Bromley Community Events Group (BCEG) chairman Lynne Noble on 020 8402 7952.
The Christmas festival weekend is a joint effort between BCEG and Bromley Council's town centre management team.
