FIVE generations of the same family have met up to welcome the arrival of a new baby.
Hannah Shield was only 12 days old when her mother Samantha Thurbin, 21, took her to see her great-great-grandmother at Queen Elizabeth residential home, Southborough Road, Bickley.
There she met her great-great-grandmother Evelyn Timpson, 98, her great-grandmother Pam Thurbin, 67, and her grandmother Niki Thurbin, 45, of Kynaston Road, Bromley.
Pam Thurbin, of Mounthurst Road, Hayes, said: "It is wonderful, especially as we are all girls.
"I think the baby will learn a lot from the different generations. My mother will tell stories of the old days."
Hannah will live with her mother and father Dave Shield at Mountacre Close, Sydenham.
There are 22 close members in her family.
