March 28, 2001 15:10: New clues about have been released as the hunt in a stabbing murder case with a £5,000 reward for information leading to the killer or killers hots up.

The body of Steve Jindu was discovered by a passer-by on November 14, 2000 in a small clearing on Horsenden Hill, Greenford. The clearing is surrounded by woods, and is approximately 80 yards from Horsenden Lane North.

Mr Jindu, who was 25 at the time of his death, was last seen alive at 8.40pm on November 11. He was captured on CCTV camera after leaving Yates Wine Bar in Mattock Lane, Ealing. His car, a green VW Passat, was found several days later still parked in Mattock Lane.

Detectives leading the murder enquiry now know that Steve Jindu travelled to Dublin in October 2000, shortly before he died. He told his family that he was going to find work, and police found addresses for two employment agencies in Dublin in his car after his death.

However, the agencies do not have any records of a visit from Mr Jindu, and police have not been able to trace his movements while in Dublin.

He travelled to Dublin on the 8am ferry from Liverpool on October 6. He left Dublin on the 1pm ferry the next day.

Police want to speak to anyone who remembers Steve Jindu, or who had any dealings with him while he was in Dublin.

A police spokesman said: "We need to find out what Steve did and where he went while he was in Dublin. This information may just be the piece of the puzzle that we need." Information to 8247 7821.
