A £7m nursing home run by a 100-year-old charity has opened in the borough.
Elmwood in Southborough Road, Bickley, is run by Mission Care Christian charity.
The home has 67 single bedrooms.
Twenty-two of these will be publicly available for intermediate care after the charity was awarded a contract from Bromley Primary Care Trust and Bromley Social Services.
The home also has a cinema, coffee shop, sensory garden, chapel, hairdressers and education suite.
Mission Care chief executive Colin Bloom said: "The designs for the home were based on an idea our residents would like to have a cruise-type experience, with different destinations and activities, as well as areas which are quiet and less busy."
The charity was founded in the 1900s by Dr Selena Fox.
Its founding principle was to provide medical and spiritual care.
