PARENTS no longer have to worry if they lose their children while out shopping.
Lewisham Centre has set up a new Child Safe scheme aimed at helping families find their children if they go missing.
Each child is to be given a wristband with their carers' mobile number and if they get lost they can go to any shop displaying bright orange balloons to ask for help.
Worried parents can also get help from the trained security guards and can be given access to CCTV if necessary.
Centre manager Wayne Pearce said: "Being separated from a child, even for an instant, is every parent's nightmare.
"Child Safe demonstrates we take child safety very seriously. People with small children can feel happier and more relaxed about shopping at our centre."
