TWO people have been arrested for hampering a murder inquiry.
A 44-year-old man and a woman, aged 40, were arrested last Thursday on suspicion of perverting the course of justice before being released on police bail until the end of next month.
Falwinder Singh Badesha, aged 27, was found dead at his home in Holmhurst Road, Belvedere, on September 21. He had been stabbed.
Mr Badesha was one of four young men from Amritsar, India, living in the house.
Police believe a fight broke out between Mr Badeshar and a housemate, Sukhdip Singh Chhina, aged 23, about keeping the house tidy.
Chhina fled the house shortly afterwards wearing brown shoes, dark trousers and a checked shirt. He had a cut on his forehead and may have been carrying a plastic bag.
It is thought he may have returned to the Belvedere area where he has friends or may be staying with people in Greenwich, Gravesend, Iford, Southall or the Midlands.
Detective Inspector John Oldham, who is leading the murder investigation, has appealed to Chhina to give himself up to police.
Anyone who knows his whereabouts should call police on 020 8721 4805 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
