STRAINING their muscles for a good cause, a group of women pledged themselves to four hours of non-stop aerobics.
They were taking part in an aerobathon to raise money for The Ellenor Foundation, which provides palliative and hospice-at-home care for adults and children in Bexley.
More than 40 women took part in the event, held in the new fitness suite at Crook Log leisure centre, Brampton Road, Bexleyheath, organised by aerobics teacher Leanne Michelle, whose late mother was nursed by the foundation.
Her first fundraiser last year netted £3,000 but by selling printed T-shirts for the event and goodie bags of items donated by the Body Shop and WH Smith, this year's aerobathon raised around £6,500.
