HEALTH workers received praise when the NHS's top brass went on a tour of facilities.

Chief executive of the NHS Sir Nigel Crisp and head of the National Audit Office Sir John Bourn were shown several different areas of healthcare services provided by the Bromley Hospitals NHS Trust.

They visited the Phoenix Centre in Masons Hill and Princess Royal University Hospital, Farnborough.

Sir Nigel said: "As chief executive of the NHS I would like to say thank you to the staff for what they do. People working in health do a big job.

"The way healthcare is delivered in Bromley is very impressive."

"We have both been very impressed by what we have seen."
