MEMBERS of a school choir are busy exercising their vocal chords as they prepare to take part in a prestigious concert.
Around 40 young singers from Deansfield Primary School, Dairsie Road, Eltham, have been chosen to take part in a charity concert at the Royal Albert Hall.
The November 4 show marks the centenary of the death of Dr Thomas Barnardo, founder of children's charity Barnados.
The pupils, who are currently holding rehearsals for the big day, will take their place within a 1,300-strong choir made up of children from schools across London.
The school's head of music David Moore said: "The children have been practising really hard and are ready for the big day.
"I'm confident they will all rise to the occasion."
