CHILDREN were in for a spooky surprise when a farm transformed itself into a haunted grotto for Hallowe'en.
Broadditch farm shop, New Barn Road, Southfleet, laid on a feast of ghouls, ghosts and spooks as part of its annual October Fright Site.
Children tested their nerves in the dark corridors of the spooky castle and braved terror trailer rides.
Younger children were taken on tours of the haunted woods and took part in pumpkin-carving workshops.
Shop owner Lorna Mitchell said: "This is our fifth Fright Site and it is a huge success. The spooky castle has been one of the most popular things this year.
"The pumpkin palace was perfect for the less brave children and I have to say we enjoy it as much as our customers."
