AN 18-YEAR-OLD man will attend a democracy conference as part of a council campaign to get young people involved in local government.
Nathan Dove, of Horton Kirby, will find out more about politics and community issues when he and the leader of Sevenoaks District Council, Councillor Peter Flemming, go to the Ideas Into Action conference in London tomorrow.
The conference is part of Local Democracy Week and is being organised by the Local Government Association.
The move is part of the council's Generation X campaign which aims to increase young people's knowledge of democracy.
