BANK managers invested time in helping landscape an area of school grounds.
Fourteen managers from Barclays branches across north Kent and south east London developed an unused patch of grass into an extended patio at St Botolphs CofE Primary School, Dover Road, Northfleet.
Volunteers were led by Richard Hall, manager for Gravesham's Barclays branch, as part of Community Service Volunteers' Make a Difference Day a national charity which encourages employers to volunteer in community events.
The school plans to use the patio for outside teaching and outdoor events.
Mr Hall said: "It's been exhausting as we have been moving a huge amount of topsoil and turf as well as one or two patio slabs."
Headteacher Sally Hyne said: "I am delighted the team from Barclays has chosen to support the school.
"Their efforts will make a real difference to us and in particular some of our youngest children who will use this area."
