A SWANLEY woman handed over £350 to Darent Valley Hospital's intensive therapy unit to thank staff for her mother's treatment.

Jean Crowder, 62, of Alexandra Close, died on April 28 from a heart attack and it was her dying wish hospital staff should be given money to thank them for bringing her back to life 13 years ago at Joyce Green.

Her daughter Jeanette Cavell, 38, went to the hospital to present the cheque which is going towards new equipment for the unit.

She said: "My mum really wanted to thank all the staff who helped bring her back to life after she had an asthma attack."
