THE Anthony Nolan Bone Marrow Trust has invited Redbridge residents to walk the South Downs Way to raise money for the charity.
Anyone over 18 can take part in the 100 mile sponsored walk, which takes place over nine days from September 15 to 23.
The Black Rabbit pub next to the River Arun in West Sussex is the base camp for the walkers, who will travel an average of 12 miles each day.
Minibuses will take participants to their starting points each day and return them to base camp after they have finished the day's walk.
There will be a special buffet reception and briefing on arrival and a celebration barbecue and party when the walk is complete.
The walk provides a chance to enjoy the beauty of the natural landscape, wildlife and historical sites and to make new friends at the same time as raising funds to help save lives.
Last year this event raised a staggering £13,000 for the life saving work of the trust.
