A COMPANY from Bromley has been presented with the Queen's Award for Enterprise at its Sydenham office.
Lord Peter Imbert, former Metropolitan Police Commissioner and now Lord Lieutenant of Greater London, handed over the certificate to Bromcom Computers boss Ali Guryel.
In 1994, Mr Guryel's company invented the system which now allows teachers all over the country to store information on pupil attendance, grades, homework, achievement and behaviour on computer.
Bromcom was one of 42 companies from across the UK to win the award for innovation announced by the Queen on her birthday.
Mr Guryel said: "We are delighted to have been given this award and it is a tribute to the hard work put in by the employees."
