Cheam have reached the quarter-finals of crickets National Knockout Cup after demolishing Guidea Park & Romford last Sunday.
They are now just two games away from a final at Lords.
Guidea Park & Romford scored 240 runs, most of them at the end of the innings when 50 were taken off the last 5 overs.
It was always going to require a good solid team batting performance or a series of good partnerships for Cheam to win in their allotted 45 overs, and they produced both to secure an exciting victory.
Gary Martin smashed 105 runs as he started the innings with emergency opener, Ollie Yuell, who also hit the ball all over the ground for a quick-fire 50.
Simon Hawk fresh from a summer at Durham University scored his runs quickly, with Kev Brown coming in to finish the game off for the fourth consecutive round.
The quarter-final is at Peaches Close, on Sunday, July 15, when Cheam play Waltham Abbey.
