Sutton Uniteds out-of-contract striker Danny Bolt has been given the chance to return to professional football with a trial at Third Division Bristol Rovers.

The 25-year-old who made 13 appearances for Fulham before being released now has another chance to make the grade.

Bolt will spend two weeks at the Memorial Ground, starting on Monday.

The club rang up and offered me the chance to go on trial, said Bolt, who scored 25 goals in the Ryman League Premier Division last season.

Its exciting. What I have to do is knuckle down, work hard and give it my best shot.

If my best is not good enough, so be it. I have the chance to get back into the professional game. Its up to me.

Bolt also had spells at Dover, Slough and Woking before joining Sutton and says he is uncertain to his future plans.

I dont know whats going to happen, he said.

If Im successful I have a number of things to think about. Im 25. I have a job and security. It will mean me probably going to stay down there. Everything is up in the air.

If Bolt is unsuccessful at the Memorial Ground, he will still have decisions to make.

A number of clubs are interested in me, he said. Sutton have told me they would like me to stay on, but they have not offered me a contract.

Kingstonian have offered me a contract and I have spoken to Bill Williams. I want to keep my options open."
