A residents' association has won £1,000 worth of computer equipment and internet access from British Telecom.
South Penge Park Residents' Association entered a BT Community Connections award scheme to get communities throughout London online.
Residents Association spokesman Sheila King said in the application it emphasised it intended setting up a computer to benefit all sections of the community.
"The pensioners will be able to get online and teenagers can do their CVs on the computer. Hopefully we might get some of them to set up a website."
The computer is likely to be based in a central community flat.
