A MAN was treated for smoke inhalation after breathing in fumes from a fire in his garage in Hastings Way, Croxley Green, on Sunday.
Firefighters from Watford fire station took 20 minutes to deal with the blaze, which is thought to have been started accidentally.
Two engines attended with crews from Garston fire station standing by after the alarm was raised at 9.20pm.
The fire was extinguished in a matter of minutes, resulting in only minor scorching and damage to the garage, which adjoins a detached house.
The victim was treated for the effects of slight smoke inhalation by an ambulance crew at the scene but was not admitted to hospital.
