ambushed for MG: Three youths ambushed a motorist and made off with his MGF convertible. The 40-year-old man had parked his car, registration R76 GGO, outside his home in Sheridan Road, Wimbledon, at 10.50pm on Monday, when he was grabbed from behind by a 15-year-old boy. Another youth sprayed a substance in his face and punched him. As the victim came round from the attack he saw a third youth get into the car. Call DS Conway on 020 8649 3191.

reptile flue: A frightened lizard hiding up a chimney was a cause for alarm last Friday. The three foot long reptile in Avenue Road, Coulsdon, was so alarmed when its owner bought a puppy that it disappeared up the chimney, from where the fire brigade and RSPCA were required to remove it.

memorial service: Teddington cemetery is holding a memorial service on Sunday, July 8, to remember those who are buried in the borough. indecent exposure: A man indecently exposed himself to a 13-year-old school girl, in Castle Street, Kingston, on Saturday, June 30. Police are hunting for the man who they believe could be sleeping rough. He is about 38-years-old, with short, dark brown hair. The incident happened at 9.15pm. hi-tech theft: Thieves ripped a door off its hinges and stole a laptop computer and games from a house in West Barnes Lane, New Malden last Thursday. The theft happened between 8am and 11am.
