Summer fun with water bombs erupted into a ferocious row between neighbours which escalated to such a peak that one family has been driven out of their home.
Crowds of Roundshaw Estate residents gathered in Goliath Close on Wednesday evening to witness as allegations, threats and insults flew between
families and climaxed when police were called out to calm the situation down.
In a tangle of allegations and counter-allegations, which
police are currently trying to unravel, a report of a minor
assault by one parent against a 15-year old boy was made.
The dispute was said to have been sparked by one father who hurled criticisms at another about the behaviour of his
children.
And by the following day, the family of Algerian origin, who police say have lived on the estate for some time, had moved out.
