London: London is facing a drop in tourism, following the terror attacks in the US.

Hotel rooms booked by Americans in September fell by 45% across the capital, and there has been a 17% overall drop in reservations, compared to last year's figures.

The survey, conducted by business consultancy firm PKF International, also indicates that many five-star hotels are half full during the traditionally busy October.

London's tourism industry relies on US trade. The British Tourist Authority has estimated that the UK could lose 2.5bn from a lack of foreign visitors.
