Heathrow: Concorde has successfully completed its first transatlantic flight since the Paris disaster last year.
The supersonic jet landed at Kennedy airport in New York after a three-and-a-half hour journey from Heathrow.
Concorde had previously carried out two test flights - but returned to Britain after flying halfway across the Atlantic.
Today's flight to check new safety modifications comes two weeks before British Airways and Air France resume passenger services on November 7.
Both airlines grounded their Concorde fleets after the Air France tragedy in July last year in which 113 people were killed.
